About the Playscheme

Isfield Playscheme was set up back in 1992 by Carole Ring and her husband Sean. Since then it has taken over Isfield Village Hall for two or three weeks every summer holiday!

Carole is still our Play Leader - she is the driving force behind the Playscheme, and is the first person you and your child will meet if you decide to join us this summer.

The rest of the Playscheme staff are a diverse bunch - but we all love Playscheme and love working with children! Many of us have been with Playscheme since we were children ourselves, and a few of us have been here right from the start!

Every year we choose a theme to guide our craft activities. Recent themes have included Romany and Folklore, Phantasmagorical - a celebration of the magic of fairytales old and new - and The Orient, in honour of the 2008 Olympic Games in China.

Whatever the theme, we are always dedicated to fun! It would be impossible to sum up all of Playscheme in a few words, but here's a taster of what we're about: smiles, friends, paint, glue, laughter, glitter, running, jumping, skipping, dressing up, races, team games, prizes and of course, sunshine!
